Chris Richardson is the founder and principal of Meeting Security.
Chris spent eight years at Marriott International, six years as a Director of Loss Prevention for six different Marriott hotels and his final two years as a Senior Assistant Controller.
His experience as a Director of Loss Prevention at Marriott was in three of the nations busiest cities; Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Phoenix. He had the unique experience of establishing the security department at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront and the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa, two of the largest hotels in each respective state.
Chris has designed and implemented security programs for over 800 meetings, events and conferences. He has arranged security detail for government officials such as US presidents, Secretaries of State, Attorney Generals and celebrities such as Mohammad Ali, Oprah Winfrey, Celine Deon, and Cher just to name a few.
He is an active member of the ASIS International. He currently serves as vice-chair of the Academic Programs in Colleges and Universities Council within ASIS International. In 2003, he earned the Certified Protection Professional designation from the society. Chris is also a member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association where he holds the association’s distinction as a Certified Lodging Security Director.
Chris earned a Baccalaureate Certificate in Accountancy in 2006 from Arizona State University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Assets Protection from Eastern Kentucky University in 1999.
